2. Canadian Firearm Safety Course (CFSC)

The training provided in the Canadian Firearms Safety Course (CFSC) prepares students
with beginner level knowledge on the responsibilities of possessing and using non-
restricted firearms, their safe use and handling as well as storage of firearms and
ammunition. The course takes a minimum of 8 hours to complete not including the written
and practical test.
You can search for courses available by postal code or instructor. They also do restricted
and hunter safety courses after you have completed the non-restricted course.

They run courses in Timmins, Kirkland Lake and Haileybury.They tend to fill quickly so check
frequently.Their courses are combined hunter and firearm safety and firearm safety course
only.

They run in-person and online courses.

The Ontario Hunter Education Course instills responsible hunting practices to respect
hunting regulations, prevent accidents and ensure public safety. The course can be taken in
-person from a certified instructor or online. The course provides information about wildlife
management; hunter responsibilities; hunting laws and regulations; hunting safety and
equipment; hunting techniques, and wildlife identification.

6. Search practice quizzes---
This will give you a list of places where you can do practice tests, but you still need to do
the course, take the test, and pass it to qualify for your PAL.There are tests for both non-
restricted and restricted safety firearms.
